Ex-Franciscans' Association (1998)

Members of the Alumni,

Greetings! I am taking this opportunity to inform members of our new and revamped website. This was made possible by Mr Ben Wong along with his assistants.

The membership drive in recent years has seen more and more ex-Franciscans joining EFA. In 2007/2009 we had 49 new members. From 2009/2011 another 112 joined EFA. So to date we now have a total of 378 members. This is made up of 112 Life members and 266 ordinary members. I hope this upward trend will continue and continue to gather its own momentum. I know that there are thousands more out there who have yet to sign up. Membership on our Facebook page exceeds the number on EFA’s members register and I hope that the ones that have yet to join EFA will soon find their way to joining the Alumni. With more of us, we would be a merrier bunch!

This is not to say that the recent past activities of EFA have not been merry; In fact, there were many merry events in the last two years. EFA has undertaken more sporting activities as well as charitable activities. There have been members participating in marathons, futsal matches, rounders (or rather known as softball now) and netball games and not to mention the EFA Mini Bazaar held together with the Secondary School and the completion of the Primary School Graduation Gown Project.

It has been a fun filled few years and I hope members will continue to join and support EFA’s activities. See you at the AGM on the 24 September 2011 at Horizon Hotel Kota Kinabalu !
